Hitachi Generators

by the Professional Power Tool Guide Crew

Hitachi Ltd is a thriving company that has always offered high quality products for customers around the world. Hitachi generators in particular have been around since 1933, and they have been offered for at-home and industrial uses. Common consumers can reap the same power as large plants at a more manageable scale as Hitachi always tries to ensure the standards of their products, no matter how big or small. Here we’ll look at some of the different generators available through the company and compare them to one another.

Hitachi Generator E43

On a large scale, Hitachi generators are available in thermal, hydroelectric and nuclear models for large plants and businesses. These units range in power but can reach a massive 1600 MVA at the highest level. As with all Hitachi products, these models are very reliable and come with a level of efficiency that is unmatched in the industry. Water cooled units are also available upon request, and companies can receive these products around the world.

As for at-home use, there are a few different models of Hitachi generators available. The Hitachi E43 is the least expensive unit available, and it produces 4,300 watts of energy. Weighing in at 200 pounds, this unit is actually rather light in comparison to others in the market. There are wheels on the unit to help it be easy to move in spite of the weight, making it feel even lighter than it actually is. Oversized tires add to this light-weight feel. This model comes with a five gallon fuel capacity within a Honda 8 HP GX engine. To top it all off, Hitachi offers a 1-year warranty on the unit in case anything goes wrong or needs to be replaced. Luckily, there is no maintenance involved with the system, so the chance of you having to use that warranty is very slim.

An upgrade of the E43, the E71 is one of the best at-home Hitachi generators on the market. This unit offers 7,100 watts of power from a 13 HP Honda GX engine, though it only weighs 242 pounds. The fuel used in this unit is the same five gallons found in the E43, but it is used more efficiently due to the more powerful engine. Maintaining the same 1-year warranty, this model has no maintenance required and can roll just like the lighter units. No matter what you choose to buy though, you can feel comfort knowing that Hitachi is backing the product.
